Built for the road.
No compromises.
Every truck in the MDX Line fleet is late-model, well-maintained, and ready to roll. The fleet runs primarily Freightliner Cascadias and Volvo VNL trucks — paired with flatbed and dry van trailers built for the cargo we specialize in. Every unit is GPS-tracked, ELD-equipped, and inspected on a strict preventive maintenance schedule.

We take care of
our equipment.
A truck that breaks down on the road is a failed delivery, a frustrated driver, and a shipper who won't call back. That's why we run a strict preventive maintenance program on every single unit.
We operate a full in-house maintenance shop at our Joliet terminal. Oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, electrical checks — everything on schedule, nothing skipped. When a truck comes back to the yard, it gets looked at before it goes back out. No exceptions.
Fresh equipment means fewer breakdowns, fewer delays, and more miles in our drivers' pockets. It also means your freight rides on a truck you can trust.

Freightliner. Volvo.
We standardize on two manufacturers — Freightliner Cascadia and Volvo VNL. Both are proven workhorses built for long-haul reliability. Every tractor comes equipped with ExGuard bull bars for front-end protection, collision mitigation systems, forward-facing dashcams, and APUs for idle-free comfort.
We don't run junk. When a truck hits a certain age or mileage, it gets replaced — not patched. Our drivers notice the difference, and so do our shippers. Clean equipment shows up on time, performs on the road, and represents the standard we hold ourselves to. Every unit is washed, serviced, and road-ready before it leaves the yard.

Every truck tells you who we are.
MDX Line branding and USDOT number on every door. Clean paint, polished wheels, ExGuard bull bar up front. When our truck pulls up to your dock, you know exactly who showed up — and that they came prepared.
Behind the equipment is a team that treats every truck like an investment, not an expense. From the dispatchers coordinating routes to the shop crew turning wrenches at 5 AM — every person at MDX Line plays a role in keeping this fleet on the road and your freight on schedule.
- Freightliner Cascadia — primary long-haul tractor
- Volvo VNL — proven reliability, driver comfort
- Deer guards and headache racks on every unit
- Dual-facing cameras + rear cargo camera
- PressurePro TPMS sensors on all trucks
- APU + inverter for idle-free operation
Every truck is built to protect.
Safety isn't an afterthought at MDX Line — it's engineered into every unit before it hits the road. Here's what comes standard on every truck and trailer in our fleet.

Deer Guards
Every tractor in the fleet runs a heavy-duty deer guard on the front end. Animal strikes are one of the most common causes of downtime and costly repairs on long-haul routes. Our guards absorb the impact and keep the truck rolling — protecting the driver, the radiator, and the load schedule. For shippers, this means fewer service failures caused by road hazards.

Headache Racks
Mounted behind the cab on every flatbed tractor, headache racks act as a barrier between the driver and the cargo. In a hard stop or collision, unsecured freight can shift forward — the rack prevents it from coming through the back of the cab. It's a critical safety feature for flatbed operations carrying steel, lumber, and heavy materials. Driver safety, non-negotiable.
Dual-Facing Cameras + Rear Cargo View
Every truck runs a dual-facing dashcam system — one lens on the road, one on the driver. This protects drivers from false claims, speeds up insurance resolution, and provides real accountability. The rear-facing cargo camera gives dispatch and drivers a live view of the trailer and load condition. For customers, it means verifiable proof of how your freight is handled from pickup to delivery.
PressurePro TPMS on Every Truck
Every tractor runs PressurePro tire pressure monitoring sensors. The system alerts the driver and dispatch in real time if any tire drops below safe pressure — before a blowout happens. Proper tire pressure also means better fuel economy and longer tire life. For drivers, it's peace of mind. For the company, it's fewer roadside breakdowns. For customers, it's loads that arrive on time.
Automatic Tire Inflation on All Trailers
Every trailer in the fleet is equipped with an automatic tire inflation system that continuously maintains optimal tire pressure while the trailer is in motion. Under-inflated trailer tires are a leading cause of blowouts, uneven wear, and fuel waste. The system eliminates slow leaks before they become roadside emergencies — reducing downtime, extending tire life, and keeping deliveries on schedule.
What This Means for You
Every safety feature on our trucks exists for the same reason — to keep freight moving and people safe. Drivers get equipment they can trust on a 600-mile run. Shippers get fewer delays and verifiable accountability. And the company avoids the costly downtime that cuts into everyone's bottom line. This is what it looks like when a carrier actually invests in its fleet.
The right trailer for every load.
We run two trailer types because that's what our freight demands. 53-foot dry vans for enclosed general freight, and flatbeds and step-decks for steel, building materials, machinery, and anything that won't fit in a box. Every trailer is equipped with automatic tire inflation and inspected before dispatch — lights, tires, floors, doors, securement points.
