Safety & Compliance

Safety is our top priority.

Safety is not a department at MDX Line — it is the foundation everything is built on. From the drivers we hire to the trucks we maintain, every decision is made with one goal: getting freight and people home safe.

Continuous Improvement

We improve our safety
every single day.

It starts with who we hire. Every driver goes through a rigorous qualification process — CDL verification, employment history, background checks, drug screening, and continuous MVR monitoring through SambaSafety. We don't lower the bar to fill a seat. The standard stays the same regardless of market conditions.

On the equipment side, we operate a full in-house maintenance shop and hold every truck and trailer to the same strict preventive schedule. Brakes, tires, lights, electrical — inspected, documented, and signed off before any unit leaves the yard. We don't defer maintenance. We don't skip steps.

Then we layer on modern technology. Every truck is equipped with a Samsara 3-camera system designed to protect the road, the driver, and the cargo. PressurePro monitors tire pressure in real time. Collision mitigation systems intervene before accidents happen.

Centrix AI System takes it further — AI-powered analytics that identify risk patterns across the fleet, automate compliance workflows, flag driver coaching opportunities, and streamline safety reporting. It turns raw data into actionable decisions before problems escalate.

The result: fewer incidents, lower insurance costs, and drivers who feel supported — not surveilled. Every tool we use works for the driver, not against them. Safety isn't a department here. It's how we operate.

Our Drivers

High standards start
behind the wheel.

Every MDX Line driver goes through a rigorous qualification process — background checks, driving history review via SambaSafety, drug screening, and skills verification. We don't hire based on availability. We hire based on standards.

Once on the road, performance is monitored through Samsara telematics, dashcam footage review, and regular safety check-ins. Hours of service are tracked in real time through ELD to prevent fatigue-related incidents.

Our Equipment

Maintained in-house.
Every single unit.

We operate a full maintenance shop at our Joliet terminal. Every truck and trailer is on a strict preventive maintenance schedule — oil, brakes, tires, electrical, all on time, nothing deferred.

Collision mitigation systems, dual-facing dashcams, PressurePro tire sensors, and automatic trailer inflation come standard on every unit. Deer guards and headache racks protect the driver and cab on every tractor.

What comes standard on every truck.

3-Camera Samsara System

Primary road camera, secondary driver camera, and external rear camera watching the cargo. Live feed accessible by dispatch at any time.

Collision Mitigation

Automatic emergency braking and forward collision warnings to prevent accidents before they happen.

PressurePro TPMS

Real-time tire pressure monitoring on every tractor. Alerts dispatch and driver before a blowout occurs.

Trailer Tire Inflation

Automatic inflation systems on all trailers maintain optimal pressure continuously while in motion.

Deer Guards

Heavy-duty bull bars on every tractor protect the radiator and cab from animal strikes on long-haul routes.

Headache Racks

Steel barrier behind the cab on flatbed tractors prevents shifting cargo from reaching the driver.

ELD Compliance

Full electronic logging across the fleet. Hours of service monitored in real time to prevent fatigue.

Samsara GPS

Second-by-second location tracking on every truck. Dispatch knows where your freight is at all times.

Load Securement

All flatbed loads verified against FMCSA securement standards before departure. No exceptions.

Real-Time Visibility

You always know where
your freight is.

Through Samsara, every truck in the MDX Line fleet is tracked in real time. Our dispatch team monitors positions around the clock, and shippers can get updates without having to call. Geofencing alerts notify the team automatically when trucks arrive or depart key locations.
